Today I had the pleasure of meeting with Minister Karolina Zioło-Pużuk of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education to discuss supporting the development of outstanding young scientists. Mindfulness - especially in "contact" with those in power - is still a scarce commodity. This makes me appreciate meetings like this even more, because I leave with the feeling that we have listened to each other.

📣 Wiktoria Morawska (Board Chair), Mateusz Tyszka (Board Member) and Jakub Stachurka today participated in a meeting with🔹Minister of Science and Higher Education, Dr Karolina Zioło-Pużuk🔹.
We discussed possible forms of cooperation with the Ministry, particularly in the context of supporting talented young researchers and promoting "less typical" career paths at an early stage of scientific development.
We touched on issues such as:
🔹 individualised training and early involvement of young researchers in scientific activities while maintaining job security, 🔹 preparation of talented high school students for scientific work (including preparation for field and laboratory work),
🔹 support for undergraduate and postgraduate students from disadvantaged backgrounds and those from socially disadvantaged backgrounds,
🔹 the future of the Wysoka Olimpijska programme, co-organised this year with the Academy of Young Scientists of the Polish Academy of Sciences (AMU PAN),
🔹 development of the Young Scientist Workshop (Warsztat Młodego Naukowca) initiative.
We would like to thank the Minister for her openness and substantive discussion - this is an important step for us towards creating a more equitable and substantive scientific environment for future generations of researchers. 💬🤝
